We offer a state repository search in 40 states throughout the USA.  Most of our turnaround times are from only 6 hours to 48 hours.  All states have a central repository (database) they use to track known criminals.  The state repository criminal record databases are available in some states but not all.  The counties within each state, along with police and other state law enforcement agencies, submit their criminal record data to the state's central respository criminal records database.  The data submitted can vary from state to state and some states do a better job at archiving and maintaining the criminal record data than others.  The other issue is the frequency at which the local jurisidictions submit their criminal record data to the central criminal records repository.  The value of the data can vary greatly from state to state.  While some local jurisdictions may submit their data to the central criminal record repository daily, others may submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc.  Overall, a criminal record repository is a good addition to on-site county criminal record searches.
